Star Rest Surf Camp
You will find our SURF CAMP with dedicated staff right in the heart of Arugam Bay. The business started with surf camp with a team of energetic members. The friendly staff at the SURF CAMP will help you with information about the surf points, can provide board rentals, surf leashes, fins, and wax, and can book lessons and repair boards. The instructors will teach you surfing in the water and the responsible tuk-tuk drivers will take you safely to the surf points and will watch your belongings.

The outstanding community we have been involved with in our Star Rest-based Surf camps has inspired us to find new places to share the sport of surfing. Ansa (Owner)
Ansa will be your instructor during the surf camp. owned and operated by Ansa, where lifelong surfers are passionate about sharing unforgettable experiences with guests. Our hotel, STAR REST SURF CAMP, offers a relaxed atmosphere and affordably priced accommodations steps from the surf break. With almost 7 surf spots within an 8km distance along the 800m stretch of Arugam Bay, there’s something for every surfing enthusiast. Whether you’re a family, couple, or solo traveler, our laid-back beach vibe and world-class surf make us the perfect destination for your getaway.. He has ton of experience teaching beginners, intermediates & advance surfers. He is an ISA equality surf instructor. The safety of his students .

Evelina from French she will work at Star Rest Surf Camp experienced surf instructors will be there to guide you through two hours of surf lessons per day. Do not worry if you do not have a surfboard, as you can rent all the surf equipment provided at the camp. You can also enjoy daily drives to local surf spots; the locations vary depending on the day’s wave conditions. Lastly, enjoy a complimentary massage for your sore muscles after a long day of surf lessons and catching waves. Today, Star Rest Surf Camp has become one of the most popular Surf Camp in Arugam Bay with some of the most reliable instructors.
Isha (Driver)
Sal, Isak has built a name in Arugam Bay for TukTuk driving since 2005. Ansa has his own TukTuk and can take you around for surfing, wildlife safaris, village tours, fishing tours, camping, markets, and secret locations! The TukTuk can take a maximum of two and up to 3 people max. The TukTuk will pick you up and bring you back at the time that suits you. The price is negotiable for round-trip rides with the driver directly.
